All those who are interested in Croatian contemporary Christian music must be familiar with the band Emanuel. They have performed at a number of Christian festivals, youth meetings, retreats as well as in many radio shows.

The band members are from Velika Gorica. They just love Christian music so that is the only kind of music they perform. The band was founded in 2001. Their music is influenced by pop, rock and gospel music.

Their first album of original music On je moj Bog (He is my God) was released in 2006. The album consists of thirteen songs and it includes collaborations with Tommy Emmanuel, Maya Azucena, Massimo Savić and Rev. Ljubo Vuković, one of the pioneers of the Croatian contemporary Christian music.

After their first album was released Emanuel started performing concerts all over Croatia and they also had a privilege to share the stage with very popular artists such as Kutless, London community gospel choir, Sarah Kelly, Fireflight, Suzanna Fields and Hillsong London.

Their second album is called Venimus Adorare Eum and it includes eleven songs with the Christmas theme.

In 2009 the band won the first prize at Uskrs fest with the song Najbolji prijatelj (Best friend). That was the great introduction into the live album which was to be released soon.

By the end of 2010 Emanuel released their live album Najveći dar (Greatest gift) with covers of some most popular contemporary Christian songs such as Hosana (Hosanna by Brooke Fraser), Spasenja moć (Mighty to save by Reuben Morgan), Najveći dar (Greatest gift by Peter Wilson & Matt Redman) and some songs of established Croatian authors Bruno and Vesna Lincender, Marija Lacković and Dražen Pavin.

In 2011 the band had the honour to prepare and perform the programme preceding the Holy Mass with the Pope Benedict XVI in Zagreb in 2011. It was followed by their first tour in Europe including the concert at Plaza de la Remonta in Madrid during “JMJ MADRID 2011″, where the young people from all over the world had an opportunity to meet the Pope.
